New highlights are here from the Super Bowl LVI Legacy Program, Champions Live Here! This week, explore the work of Mental Health Advocacy Services, Miry’s List, Operation Progress, Our Own, and PVJOBS. Coming soon in 2022, all 56 nonprofit organizations from this powerful program are receiving our Annenberg Alchemy training, and we can’t wait to help them continue their incredible community impact.
Mental Health Advocacy Services works to protect and advance the legal rights of low-income adults and children with mental health disabilities and empower them to assert those rights in order to maximize their autonomy, achieve equity, and secure the resources they need to thrive.
Miry’s List provides a mechanism for people to directly help new arrival refugee families with the things that they need to get started in their new lives – from diapers to beds to cleaning supplies and toiletries.
Operation Progress lifts their community and shapes the future as they work with their scholars to develop skills, relationships, new mindsets, and the toolbox to transcend socioeconomic conditions, while they serve as examples of success and resilience.
Our Own works to dismantle systemic barriers and create the access needed in nutrition, education, entrepreneurship, maternal health, mental and physical fitness to further bridge the gap to ensure racial equity and social justice.
PVJOBS works to place at-risk and disadvantaged youth, adults and veterans in career-track employment in the construction industry and other industries.
