In partnership with the LA84 Foundation, the Play Equity Fund and the National Football League (NFL) Foundation, the Super Bowl LVI Legacy Program – Champions Live Here – showcases the achievements of 56 local community organizations (over half of these nonprofits are Annenberg grantees), providing grants and media coverage designed to help them continue to fulfill their missions. Next winter, we will offer Alchemy nonprofit leadership training to all these outstanding organizations.
In the weeks and months ahead, we’ll be spotlighting these inspiring nonprofits, and highlighting the critical work they do for their communities, beginning with 2nd Call, A New Way of Life Reentry Project, Angel City Sports, Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles, and BEAM.
2nd Call is a community based organization designed to save lives, by reducing violence and assisting in the personal development of high risk individuals, proven offenders, ex-felons, parolees and others who society disregards.
A New Way of Life Reentry Project provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison.
Angel City Sports provides year-round free adaptive sports opportunities for kids, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities or visual impairments, offering free equipment, coaching, and competitive opportunities, as well as higher education and career opportunities.
Through direct services, impact litigation, policy advocacy, leadership development, and capacity building, Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los Angeles focuses on the most vulnerable members of Asian American and AANHPI communities while also building a strong voice for civil rights and social justice.
BEAM is a national training, movement building and grant making organization dedicated to the healing, wellness and liberation of Black and marginalized communities.
