Reporting Online Scams

Several online scams claiming to be from or associated with the Annenberg Foundation are currently circulating on the internet. They may include our logo, names of current Foundation staff, Annenberg family members, associated LLCs, links or other information taken directly from our official web site, www.annenberg.org.

The Foundation does not make job offers via email or through Craigslist. If you receive a job offer via email or any other communication or request seemingly from the Foundation that you feel is suspicious, please disregard that communication. All current Foundation open positions are listed in the Careers section of our website.

Things to remember

  • Unless you are viewing a job posting on our website at www.annenberg.org, we can’t guarantee the validity of the posting.
  • If you receive communication regarding an open position at the Foundation that you feel is suspicious, please disregard the message.
  • Neither the Annenberg Foundation nor its LLCs will ask for your social security number, financial information or other sensitive personal information during the interview process.
  • If you are being considered for a position, our human resources department will contact you directly to schedule a face to face interview.

Helpful tips to avoid email scams

  • Do not respond to unsolicited emails that ask for personal or financial information.
  • Avoid filling out forms in email messages.
  • Log on to official websites instead of clicking on links embedded in an email.
  • Be wary if you receive an email saying you have been offered a job or are being awarded a grant.
  • Do not wire money unless you independently confirm where the money will be sent.
