The Annenberg Foundation invests in visionary nonprofit organizations and leaders that provide impactful programs and services through collaborative models. We engage organizations that align closely with our mission and strategic priorities.
At this time, we do not accept unsolicited proposals. However, we are always open to updates on your work and ideas for consideration, especially as it reflects the grantmaking philosophy outlined below. You can reach us at [email protected].
Beyond the Traditional
Social problems are complex and require new, innovative approaches and collective action by a cross-section of stakeholders rather than isolated efforts by single organizations. As a grantmaker, the Annenberg Foundation is willing to take measured risks with a tolerance for occasional failure to seek and support outstanding people and organizations. We understand the value of going beyond traditional grantmaking and remain open to creative ways to leverage funding.
What We Look For
We believe a nonprofit’s impact and the strength of its leadership are directly connected, and that leadership includes staff as well as the board of directors. Our aim is to support the nonprofit sector’s most precious asset: its people. The Foundation looks closely at the people, infrastructure, values, practices and policies applied, and looks for board involvement and directors’ ability to secure resources for the organization.
We give priority to nonprofit organizations serving the Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties that are well-integrated into the fabric of the communities they serve.
