AnnenbergTech and PledgeLA hosted SUPERCHARGE LA at 1212 Santa Monica featuring a powerhouse roster of celebrity guests, including LA Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, Grammy award-winning artist Miguel, and artist, producer, DJ, and photographer D-Nice.
Members of the PledgeLA Advisory Committee announced the ambitious new goal to have 50% of all LA venture dollars invested in companies led by Black, Latinx, and women founders in the next five years.
Following their announcement, dot.LA’s Spencer Rascoff interviewed Ekeler about his platform Eksperience and the importance of supporting entrepreneurs of color.
Miguel closed out the conversation talking about his work as Global Creative Director for T3MP0, a Web3 design and production studio that creates NFT-based communities and content, including his community S1C. He reiterated the importance of expanding opportunities to under-represented founders.
And famed Club Quarantine DJ D-Nice closed out the party and kept the good vibes going, spinning tracks and keeping guests on their feet into the night.
