Spotlight: Food Recovery Network

Food Recovery Network

Food Recovery Network (FRN) is the largest student movement organizing against food waste and hunger in America. The organization aims to completely eliminate food waste in the Higher Education sector and feed millions of Americans. CGM funding has supported FRN’s food recovery efforts at twelve Southern California college campuses. On Thursday, October 17, 2019, Whole Foods Market in Southern California and Arizona will partner with FRN for its 5% Community Giving Day. Five percent of net sales from 45 Southern California stores and 10 Arizona stores will be donated to FRN to support food recovery work in these regions. Last year, FRN’s partnership with Whole Foods in Florida raised over $150,000 for the organization in one day! To learn more, click here.
