Presenting the Sounds of Sandoval

The Annenberg Foundation is proud to join forces with our friends at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy to present Sounds of Sandoval – an incredible two-day jazz festival, featuring 10-time Grammy Award winning music icon, Arturo Sandoval. Don’t miss master classes, salsa dancing, live music, Q+A’s, and a performance with Sandoval and young artists from the inspiring Arturo Sandoval Institute.

Taking place at the newly constructed Rhimes Performing Arts Center, this festival celebrates the work of Arturo Sandoval – a 10-time Grammy Award winner and protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie. Sandoval is widely regarded as one of the world’s most acknowledged guardians of jazz trumpet as well as an accomplished classical musician. His greatest desire is to share his gift with others who feel the same adoration for music, building community wherever he plays. This makes for a perfect pairing with Debbie Allen, who has touched the world with her versatile talents as an entertainer.
